Your Logo Design on Web Communities

Map of Online Communities

Web is a powerful and very effective marketing platform for small businesses. However, getting a website design is not the only way to penetrate the market. There are countless other ways to spread the word on the internet. One of them is social media marketing.

One part of social media marketing is to join the communities that cater the needs of special interest groups. In case of a small business, you would like to join communities that are more relevant to your business. For example if you sell digital cameras you might want to join digital photography communities on the web.

Once there, there are many ways for you to use your logo design. Many online forums allow users to create profiles and upload their pictures. Many people upload pictures of cartoon characters or meaningless something. You can upload your business logo there. These profile pages also allow you to share your website address. This is the place where you can put your business website address.

However, online communities are like real communities too. These communities need your participation so that you could be noticed by the members. Once there you will notice that some of your competitors would already be there. You need to share your knowledge on the topic of interest on which this community is based. This is the sure way to get noticed and make a good impression on your audiences.

Custom Logo Designs for Community Volunteer Projects

For new logo design companies and free lance logo designers building a portfolio is a critical aspect of their brand development. Many logo design companies and artists fill their portfolio by creating dummy designs and displaying them on their portfolio.

However, clients have become smarter now days. They do use Google to check that a company with the name on the logo in your portfolio really exists or not. If they do exist then they check to see if they are using the logo you have on your portfolio. When they find out that your custom logo design portfolion contains dummy samples, they start thinking that may be you are not that professional.

So what is the genuine way to build a good portfolio. The easiest and quickest way to build a genuine portfolio is by taking part in graphic design,or custom logo design contests. Such contests are quite common and in fact there are websites dedicated to it where people can post contests for designers to take part in. Prize amounts are minimal but you get the exposure and it looks really nice when you have some volunteer work in your portfolio.

For example it will look much better if you have a logo for special children's special needs organization on your portfolio with a link to there website where people can go and see your design applied on their website. On the other hand creating a dummy logo for a non-existent business is quite lame.

I love my Logo Fan Page

Our friend Ben is a fan of a logo he designed for logoinn.com and has made a fan page about it. The fan page "I love my logo" already has 728 fans. It has an active community taking part in discussions and sharing photos of their own logo designs that they love.

Like I mentioned in my earlier post about my feeling that logo designers are not appreciated as artists. So I think the first step towards appreciation starts right here. We the logo design community should appreciate each other's efforts to make the world a better place (seriously bad logos like that of the hut are such an eye sore).

Logo Design Community - A place for Logo Designers

Hello and welcome to a new blog. Logo Design Community is a blog for logo designers for sharing tips, inspiration, designs, trends and things like that. We believe that designing logos is a wonderful creative process and people who do that need more appreciation for their work.

Sadly, when a logo design artist is done creating a great logo, it becomes the property of the client. The logo design and the concept becomes the property of the client and in most cases people never find out who really created such memorable, wonderful and striking logos.

Even though these logos equip the marketing world with wonderful tiny little tools but they also make our world beautiful. They decorate our streets, our markets and our minds with signs and colorful images. These logos remind us of good values, humanity, emotions and all the things that make us human.

As we move on with new posts on this blog, we will be adding features such as a facebook group, twitter list, mailing list, and Flickr group.
